Build a propeller-tread solar vehicle that can travel on both land and water! With it you'll discover how solar batteries and semiconductors work, see how propeller-type wheels help an amphibious car move, and learn what resistance is. The vehicle's powerful solar cell will power it even in winter sunlight, or you can change to batteries with the flip of a switch. The detailed instruction guide provides illustrations to make assembling the vehicle easy; some household tools are required. Polyethylene body can be painted as desired. Use the solar cell or else an AA battery (not included). Ages 10-14.

Amphibious Solar VehicleReviewed By: Paula Great way to teach children about solar power. This car was fun for my husband and my son to make. It works great on sidewalks, but my son was dissappointed with the way it performed in water. Other than that, great science project.

Amphibious Solar Vehicle We really enjoyed building and experimenting with this vehicle. My 7 and 10 year old children found the concept of one vehicle used for land and water fascinating. To top it off, finding out and understanding the use of solar power made them aware of ways to help the environment and the power of the sun. We found it to be a great product. The scientist really came out in the kids as they asked questions, were able to experiment, and come up with there own conclusions!
The directions were easy to follow, which I really appreciated!
