Illustrations are accompanied by the common and scientific names of each species. A Nice Addition for your Library. This is a wonderful reference book that would be a nice addition to have in anyone's library. We are currently using it with our Apologia Zoology studies and it has worked out very nicely. It does a nice job of introducing you to the entire animal kingdom, without being too overwhelming. I have often found my children, ages 6, 8 and 10, reading this on their own. They especially like the pictures and reading the Conservation Watch section. This is a nice addition to the book because it shows a graph of the numbers of a particular species or group that appear on Red List of threatened species of the world. It helps give a personal touch to our learning to see how we, and other factors, are effecting our animal kingdom.
