Animal set, 7 specimens
This set of seven medium-sized preserved specimens is an economical way to learn about and compare the anatomy of several animals. The 7 specimens include grass frog (3"+), earthworm (6-8"), Lubber grasshopper, crayfish (3-4"), clam (3-4"), perch (5-7") and starfish (3-5"). None of these specimens are injected. Packaged together in one bag.
Note: Specimens are initially preserved with a formaldehyde solution, the best animal tissue fixative. The formaldehyde is then displaced first with water and finally with a glycol solution to produce a moist, low-fume specimen which can be stored almost indefinitely. We recommend that you use specimens within one year of purchase to ensure the best tissue quality. Specimen discoloration over time is normal and does not indicate decay.
Store your specimens at normal room temperature--refrigeration is not
required. Storage in attics or garages at high temperatures will damage the specimens. Once opened, specimens can be resealed in a Zip-lock bag to prevent them from drying out for later use.
Note: This item only ships to the 50 US states with Economy, Ground or Express shipping options.

These specimens are great, especially for the price. Had the ones we needed for our Apologia Biology plus a couple extras to have fun with.

These were much larger than I thought they would be, especially the grasshopper. I cannot wait to use them in the spring!

This specimen kit is excellent! The price is great & the specimens are perfect for our homeschool program (Life Science & Biology). The price was so reasonable I was able to purchase two kits, allowing me the fun of going through dissections with both of our sons!

I love this kit. I teach an animal science class for elementary home school students and this kit was perfect. I love the variety of animals included and the price is awesome. They are having a blast getting to explore the anatomy of different phylums of animals. We opened the kite immediately and seperated the animals into individual ziplocs. My only complaint would be that our grasshopper was missing several legs and they were laying in the bottom of the bag. But overall, this kit is fabulous for the price. Read More Reviews
