One investigation led to a network of others for 10 days of our camp. Our teacher, Mrs. Nicolson, participated by microwaving them. All our classmates at CACG (over 100) wanted a blue ball. They were amazed at how slippery and yet elastic they felt when expanded. The bounciness was fun and popular. ---from Dillon and Aidan, Grade 5. (Note from Mrs. Nic.: As a teacher interested in bio-inspired innovations using polymers, I find the Dune kit to be a great learning tool for all ages ---part of becoming a citizen scientist. My recommendation is that Dune Astounding Polymers attach identifying labels to each plastic bag of nuggets to avoid random choices.) |
