Astronomy - Science Kit
This elementary-level kit has the lab materials you'll need for doing the projects in Apologia's Exploring Creation with Astronomy. Explore the sun, stars, and solar system with fun hands-on activities like demonstrating an eclipse and making a rocket. You provide some more common household items. You save 10%!
Note: This kit is intended for parent/teacher use to complete curriculum lab activities with students. It includes items that are not designed or intended primarily for children ages 12 and under.
Kit Contents

- Alka-Seltzer tablets, 2/pk
- Balloons
- Bottle, 250ml, plastic
- Cardboard tube, 1-1/2" X 15"
- Cork, size 2, pack of 2
- Globe, topographical, 12"
- Lens, double convex, 50mm f/l
- Lens, double convex, 300mm f/l
- Light, small beam penlight
- Magnifying glass, 2" diameter
- Construction paper, 12 sheets
- Plaster of paris, 4 oz.
- Ring magnet, 1-1/4" OD
- Styrofoam ball, 2" diameter
- Tape measure, steel, 3 meters
- Thumbtacks, 100/pk
While our kits conveniently contain most of the items you'll need to complete the labs, they do not include some common household items or more expensive items like microscopes and live cultures. Please see the kit order form for items you might wish to order separately.

Great kit!
This kit was amazing! I have purchased a kit elsewhere to go with the Apologia Elem. books and they don't compare with the thoroughness and quality of the Home Science Tools kit. It is well worth the money!

Easy to Use!
I purchased this kit to use with our Apologia Astronomy course. It was so easy to use. It literally contained everything I didn't normally keep at home. Thanks for putting tahis stuff together for homeschool families!

Time Saver
This saved us a lot of time running around to collect materials. It helped that all of the materials were also custom-made to fit the experiments, so we didn't even have to cut anything to fit. The plaster of Paris alone was worth ordering the kit (I couldn't find this product anywhere in our little town!).

Astronomy Science Kit
I am thrilled to have this kit! I have four daughters, 3 homeschooled. Next year we will be using the Apologia curriculum in 3 different areas, so I knew the ready made kt was a must. We will be so busy with school and life that making sure I have everything will be hard and I will forget when I do get to town to get what we need. This way we have it and we can do all the fun activities and get the most out of this curriculum!

Great Help!

HUGE time saver!
I am a busy Mommy and I know myself well enough to know that I just wouldn't run around town to gather the materials to do the fun activities. I didn't want my children to miss out on the great learning times so we purchased this kit. What a blessing! It contains the items that I didn't have lying around the house. The price is great! I looked at other kits to use with this curriculum, but they were expensive. I already have index cards, rubber bands, etc. around home and I don't want to pay extra for those things. This kit has made our science time easy and rewarding!

Love it!
As a homeschooling mom of three, going from store to store in search of items just isn't how I want to spend my time. Home Science Tools has done the work for us and at a reasonable price. I've checked other sites and I've come back here and made my purchases each time. Everything comes packaged so nicely and my children are able to enjoy the experiments they look forward to doing when before just didn't happen because of tracking down the items.
