beakersReviewed By: Sara Searched all around the net for reasonable prices on beakers/flasks for my husband's "mad scientist" halloween display. This site is the only one with super fast shipping, and quality, well made product. This item, and ones just like it are just what we needed!
Read More Reviews - Friday, August 15, 2008 Pyrex vs. Bomex Reviewed By: KJW I bought both the Pyrex and Bomex 1000 mL beakers at the same time.
Markings: Pyrex has markings from 100 mL all the way to 1000 mL and "+/- 5%"; Bomex has markings from 100 mL to 900 mL. and "APPROX".
Comments: When I buy a 1000 mL, I plan to use it all the way to 1000 mL, not 900 mL. So if you have a Bomex and plan to use it for 1000 mL, you will need to scale the beaker and mark the 1000 mL on the beaker.
Whether to buy a Pyrex or a Bomex will depend on the application and budget.
[From Home Science Tools: please note that beakers will vary slightly based on supply.]
