Beaker, polypropylene, 1000ml
This 1000ml polypropylene beaker is much less expensive than a glass one, and is suitable for many laboratory uses. Polypropylene plastic beakers can hold hot liquids but not be used over an open flame or electric hot plate. They are not suitable for use with strong acids, bases, or solvents. Plastic beakers are used for mixing. The graduations are approximate and not intended for accurate liquid measurement.
There may be a slight bump on the bottom from the plastic mold, which can give the beaker a slight wobble. This is common on inexpensive plastic beakers. There is no danger of tipping.

Good valueReviewed By: John Unlike the 500ml plastic beaker, the 1000ml beaker was acceptably accurate, and certainly good value.
I was surprised though, that the graduations are molded on the inside, not the outside.

rounded bottom We ordered 2. One was exactly what we wanted for use with students. The other was rounded on the bottom so it did not sit flat on the lab table.
