Boe-Bot Programmable Robot Kit
A great introduction to computer programming and robotics! The Boe-Bot is an advanced programmable robot that uses a BASIC Stamp microcontroller and a solder-less breadboard. The robot assembles in 1-2 hours, but the included Robotics with the Boe-Bot curriculum provides over 50 hours of activities that teach you how to program your robot using the programming language PBASIC and the circuit breadboard. You can program your Boe-Bot to use tactile, light sensitive, infrared, or distance detection navigation. The 345-page Robotics with the Boe-Bot curriculum starts with basic movement and then proceeds to various sensor-based projects. It also provides ideas for adapting the Boe-Bot to different robotic projects. It's written in an easy-to-understand format so no previous experience in robotics, electronics, or programming is necessary.
The robot connects to your PC via USB port. The Boe-Bot robot kit comes with everything needed for assembly and experimentation except four AA batteries. Supporting content and technical support available online. Made by Parallax. Ages 13 & up.
