Burner, Deluxe Butane

This deluxe butane burner is designed as a backpacking stove but it makes an excellent lab burner. It produces an adjustable, broad flame and features a push-button igniter. Put a piece of wire gauze on the unique foldout pan supports to hold a beaker or flask. It also fits readily under all ring stands. The burner operates 3-4 hours with an 8 oz. threaded-top, disposable butane fuel cartridge. (Fuel is not included.) The output of this burner is about 5000 BTU/hour and it boils a 250ml beaker full of water in about one minute. Overall height is 7".

Note: Fuel cartridges (butane or butane-propane mix) with a threaded top connection are readily available where backpacking equipment is sold or can be ordered direct from the manufacturer at a reasonable cost. This fuel can also be purchased online at www.rei.com by entering "butane fuel" in the search field. Use instead of a bunsen burner.
