This kit was a nice nifty all in one entertainment for the kids. I bought it for the purpose of entertaining my 7yr old daughter (too young to follow the directions by herself) and 12 yr old nephew. The 2 of them together could handle it just fine by themselves (but I still supervised) and it was simple enough for them to understand but fun enough that the 12 yr old wasn't at all bored.

I was very pleased to open the kit and start using it without looking for tiny bits of things, even like cornstarch. Yes, I have cornstarch, but I don't have guar gum or borax! I loved that it came with measuring tools, and the explanation of polymers helped me to UNDERSTAND them!

Both my boys, 6 and 12, enjoyed making the variety of slimes. The recipes made an amount just perfect for one. This way, they each made their own and I didn't have to touch it to divide it. It was also nice not to have to buy anything else to make the slime.

My five year old son LOVED this kit. It allowed him to mix, measure, and get really messy and have a lot of fun. You might have to run to the grocery store to get more corn starch though.
