We directly import this triple beam balance to give you an affordable choice for a quality balance. It features a stainless steel platform with magnetic dampening for fast, easy use. It's also very durable and will provide many years of service. This balance includes special attachment weights, giving it a 2610g capacity with 0.1g sensitivity. It is ideal for junior high and high school science courses, including chemistry. This product is covered by our five-year warranty. Grades 4-12.
Mechanical balances take a few seconds for the beam to stabilize each time you move a weight on the beam. They take more time to use as a result. A digital balance is a good alternative when you want a quicker measurement.
We purchased this scale for use in our homeschool. It arrived in a timely manner, and was well packed. Initially, we did have some problems with it, but we called the toll free number provided, and were impressed with the friendly, helpful customer service. With their assistance we were able to have it working perfectly in a few minutes time. We are now happily using our new scale on a regular basis, both for school and for fun. We've tested it for accuracy with excellent results. We couldn't be happier with our purchase, or this company, and have every intention of purchasing items through this company in the future.

My 9yo son had no problem figuring out how to work this balance, and subsequently used it with ease in a beginning physics class. It has helped him become very comfortable with science instruments! Highly recommended!
Fantastic for Learning Metric Weights

Last year I got both this balance scale and a digital electronic scale for a co-op chemistry class I taught. If I had to choose only one scale for the sake of LEARNING I would choose this one. The electronic scale is much quicker and more convenient, but a balance scale gives the students a better "feel" for weight in metric units. After they had a better feel for metric weights I did use the electronic scale more than this one, though, for convenience and speed.

I purchased this balance several years ago for our home school. This balance travels with us quite often for science classes, Scout projects, etc. It works great - I would recommend keeping ALL parts of the packaging if you travel with your scale (we had them for the first year). It does require the user to zero the balance often, however, there have been so many users that this has been a plus. It also is a great time saver at Pine Wood Derby time and helps kids with their conversions to metric. Also works when figuring postage.
very good

On a tight budget, even one with a little more meat on it, this is a good scale, easy to use and accurate. The one slight problem I had was that the scale had to be zeroed after each use. But in that it takes but a few seconds to do it isn't really much of an inconvenience at all.I'm very happy with this scale.
Very Nice!
