Observe the cerebellum, corpus callosum, pituitary gland, and more. This plain preserved sheep brain comes with cranial nerve attached.
Note: Dissection specimens are initially preserved with a formaldehyde solution, the best animal tissue fixative. The formaldehyde is then displaced with water and then with a glycol solution to produce a moist, low-fume specimen which can be stored almost indefinitely. We recommend that you use specimens within one year of purchase to ensure the best tissue quality. Specimen discoloration over time is normal and does not indicate decay.
Store your sheep brain dissection specimen at normal room temperature - refrigeration is not required. Storage in attics or garages at high temperatures will damage the specimens. Once opened, specimens can be resealed in a Zip-lock bag to prevent them from drying out for later use.
My colleagues and I purchased a few of these for a science outreach program that we were doing with high school students (15-17 years old). The brains arrived quickly, and in excellent condition. They were very useful tools for explaining the basic anatomy and function of the mammalian brain, and the students seemed to enjoy the opportunity to see, touch, and manipulate a real brain. We highly recommend this product, especially for anybody interested in an introduction to neuroscience... or anybody who just wants to poke a brain.

We discected these brains as part of our co-op science class. The kids had a fun time with this hands on experience and it was great to actually be able to locate and see different sections of the brain.
