This is a great buy for such a good quality microscope. I bought it so I could teach biology at home to my high-schooler, but it's been great to have for my other kids too, who are having fun learning how to make their own slides. Easy to use, very clear, makes science more fun, and opens up a whole new area of learning!

I am so excited about this product! I am a teacher who homeschools in South Korea. We've never "bitten the bullet" and bought a good microscope, instead chosing lesser models with predictable results. Now that my kids are in middle school, I thought it was time to invest in a quality instrument. What a fabulous choice! This microscope does everything you need it to. It is extremely sturdy and is a better quality than I have had in classrooms. Not only will I take this one back to the classroom when it is time, I will also buy one for my nieces and nephews! It comes extremely well packaged in form fitting styrofoam inside a cardbaord box, and is perfect for those who move frequently. It also has the sturdy plastic sleeve to cover and protect it. I want to also mention how incredibly quickly it was shipped! With an APO it is sometimes unpredictable, but HST got this item to us in record time! Have no doubts about buying this product for your basic homeschooling or classroom needs. It also makes a great Christmas or birthday gift for your young scientist!

We have been searching for a microscope for homeschool for quite a while. We are very pleased with the home microscope. I wanted one that was affordable but will be good quality for middle school and high school. This one is perfect for us!

I remember using my dad's microscope when I was a kid and loving it. I wanted to give that same experience to my kids, but I didn't want to waste our time with the cheap toy store versions you often see. This is the microscope I was looking for! It's made of solid/heavy metal and has all of the parts that I expect on a microsocpe. I am very glad I bought it, and my kids are glad too. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a case. I wish it had a wood (or even heavy plastic) case.

I just received this microscope and absolutely LOVE it! I was surprised by the sturdy/heavy duty construction. With the free starter kit that you can add to your order, I was able to examine slides the same evening. The microscope's eyepiece was not attached - luckily my roommate had the right wrench to adjust the screws to mount the eyepiece.

Love this microscope! We are not a home-schooled family but this is already feeding my 12 year old daughter's fascination for science. As good, if not better, than the one at school according to her science teacher who assisted me in choosing the right microscope for this past Christmas. I have already donated blood and cheek cell tissue for her to study and am amazed at the detail we can see! Very easy to use also. We also purchased the hard case to store it safely.

I just received the microscope yesterday (very quick delivery) and fell in love with it immediately. We had bought one a couple of years ago, but couldn't see through it. This one is easy to use, and the visual is GREAT!!! The kids had a blast looking at stuff through it, and cannot wait for their science experiments to start. I would HIGHLY recommend this product!!! We purchased this scope for my son's birthday and my husband said he couldn't tell who was more excited, me or my son. Levi and I had a great time together using the scope. This microscope is great. I looked at microscopes for a long time before deciding on this one. The price is good and the clarity is wonderful. We had tried kids microscopes, but they were not clear enough to see plant cells. I am VERY pleased with my choice.

From the time this microscope arrived this morning until now, my two teens have been engrossed in looking at various slides. This is a substantial microscope. High quality, and exceeds all my expectations. Biology is going to be very interesting this year. I highly recommend this microscope. It fits most homeschool budgets and will get years of use.

I found this microscope easy to use,most of all very useful.My family have made several slides and have found it fascinating looking at what we dont see with our own eyes.we have just completed a leaf slide,and now we are making a bacteria slide.My student is now interested in looking at many other things under our scope. We ordered this microscope for our home school, and it has exceeded our expectations. The light is cool and provides smooth, flicker-free viewing. The swivel eyepiece allows us each to view the specimen without having to move around. This piece of equipment is sturdy and should be around for many years.
