We received 10 larvae and all 10 of them turned into the beautiful butterflies. It was truly an amazing thing to watch the whole process up to the point where they were laying eggs. We hated too, but we finally let them go to live out the rest of their short lives outside with hopes of them laying more eggs and seeing them in our butterfly garden. The kids were just amazed at the process and I very highly recommend this product. Great habitat for other insects too like lightening bugs and the such.
Awesome fun!
