Excellent for doing chemistry with limited resources I disagree with the negative review below. If you have limited finances, limited availability of materials and equipment, and/or limited experience with chemistry, this manual is very helpful; it includes labs that are easy to do and require minimal materials, yet demonstrate the major principles of chemistry. True, it is not as visually appealing as the manuals from major publishers, but it is definitely easier to use in a homeschool setting (and I have used both, in an overseas setting). I have a degree in chemical engineering. If your students are planning to study engineering or sciences, and you have the budget to get all the eqpt necessary for A Beka or BJU, go for it; otherwise, I find Castle Heights quite helpful. (I have combined BJU and Castle Heights, so that we did Castle Heights where the BJU labs were not practical to do at home. But for a student not planning to go into science or engineering, the Castle Heights labs are quite sufficient, and they'll work for the future scientists as well if necessary.)

Very poor Very poor. Many significant errors. For $30 you get 40 sheets of copier paper, crudely printed and spiral bound. The A Beka or Bob Jones chemistry lab manuals are a much better choice.
