Complete Book of the Microscope
Fascinating pictures and informative text make this a fun-to-read overview of almost anything you might want to look at under magnification. The seven chapters cover the micro world, human body, plants & fungi, creepy crawlies, rocks to robots, history and development, and how to use a microscope. Includes do-it-yourself activities and incredible full-color electron microscope images of pollen, bugs, cells, and more! 96 pp. Ages 9-14.
This book is comparable to the World of the Microscope; it has fewer activities, but includes excellent photographs and more scientific information about what you see under the microscope.
