Cow eye
Cow eye dissection is popular because of the similarity to the human eye. See the cornea, iris, pupil, connecting muscles and veins, and other features. This is a plain preserved specimen of an adult cow eye.
Note: Dissection specimens are initially preserved with a formaldehyde solution, the best animal tissue fixative. The formaldehyde is then displaced with water and then with a glycol solution to produce a moist, low-fume specimen which can be stored almost indefinitely. We recommend that you use specimens within one year of purchase to ensure the best tissue quality. Specimen discoloration over time is normal and does not indicate decay.
Store your specimens at normal room temperature--refrigeration is not required. Storage in attics or garages at high temperatures will damage the specimens. Once opened, specimens can be resealed in a Zip-lock bag to prevent them from drying out for later use. Ages 10 & up.

A few had been squished in transit, but not so badly that they could not be used. excellent specimen
Best eye specimen I have ordered. I am an eye doctor and go into the classroom quite frequently to dissect the cow eye to compare and contrast it to the human eye. Muscles and optic nerve were already exposed which saved me dissecting time to find these structures.

Preserved cow eye
The cow eyes were well preserved and had little smell. The dissection specimens were great visual aids for my anatomy class and really helped the students understand the structure of the eye.
