Deluxe Distillation Apparatus Kit
This deluxe distillation apparatus kit has all the glassware & stands you need to get started with distillation in the lab. The borosilicate glassware in this set includes a 300 mm sealed Graham condenser, 50 mm diameter Kjeldahl distillation ball, 500 ml flat-bottomed boiling flask and 500 ml Erlenmeyer flask. Other equipment in the kit includes a 4" x 6" support stand, adjustable clamp, alcohol burner stand and tripod burner stand to accommodate a variety of burners, wire gauze with ceramic center, and rubber stoppers. Assembly instructions and distillation ideas are also included.
Two key components for a good distillation set-up are Kjeldahl ball and a condenser. The Kjeldahl ball improves distillation efficiency by preventing carryover of liquid from the boiling flask into the condenser. The Graham-style condenser provides highly efficient gas condensation through the coiled inner tube surrounded by a large outer tube for circulating cooling water.
You provide a burner of choice (alcohol burner or lab burner) and rubber tubing for water supply to the condenser. We also have a special condenser accessory kit with everything you need to connect the condenser to a standard faucet.
Note: The adjustable burner stand in the photo is no longer available. An alcohol burner stand and tripod burner stand are now included instead to accommodate the burner of your choice.

The graham condenser is best used in a vertical position. If used as it appears in the picture. I recently received this kit and it arrived in pristine condition after being shipped all the way to Minnesota - kudos to the packing department! Great kit for the money. My preference is for sintered glass connections in a distillation kit but that would drive the price up by quite a bit. You may want to purchase an extra support stand so that you can also clamp the boiling flask to something - this would give the whole set-up an added bit of stability.

I ordered a Deluxe Distillation Apparatus Kit. In spite of the careful packaging the condenser arrived broken. I called the company and they send a new condenser immediately, no question asked. This one arrived in perfect conditions. The apparatus was exactly like it was described online and the customer service is excellent.

When I recieved this I was really amazed. The only problem I had was the condenser was broken, but customer service took care of it and sent me another one. Fast and reliable service. I love this company, I have not had any problems with them that they do not fix right away. Always recieved everything on time. This apparatus is also a great value for the price.

When I received this apparatus, the Kjeldahl bulb was broken. But they sent a new replacement bulb right away. Thanks for great customer service.
This is a great tool for this price. My kids not only learned about distillation, whenever we need distilled water for other experiments, they want to make their own using this apparatus.

Overall this is a very nice distillation apparatus. The only issue I have with it is that when assembled, the apparatus is a little awkward to adjust in keeping the seals around the stoppers tight and the boiling flask flat on the burner.
