Acurate weights AND description

Prompt service; a good product; an accurate "no BS" description. The included calibrations weights were handy since there was a slight discrepency after being beat up in shipping. Very stable after recalibration.

Worth every penny

This is probably the best purchase I've ever made for our co-op chemistry class. We've used a small kitchen scale in the past, but this scale--though more costly than a $10 kitchen scale--is WONDERFUL! It is a sturdy, accurate little scale for a very reasonable price. It's easy to carry to class, works well, is easy to clean, and maintains it's tare without need of constant recalibration. My students love that it saves them time in lab, and I'm very pleased with the investment.

Digital Scale

I couldn't believe how much excitement a scale would generate in my house--even my husband got into the act! My son (7th grade) has been weighing and comparing weights with all everything he can think of. He is using the conversion from grams to ounces to learn his conversions. A great tool and one I will use in my kitchen after homeschooling is a thing of the past.

Time Saver
 
We have been using a traditional balance in our homeschooling chemistry class. At midterm, I ordered this digital scale, and am I ever happy about that decision! MUCH time is saved with this scale, especially using its tare feature. I am glad that my students learned to use the traditional balance, but the digital balance saves a lot of time calculating and waiting, plus it was less expensive than the balance.

When we opened the box and tried it out, my husband put a 200 gram weight that was in a little plastic bag on the scale. The scale read 200.5. When he took the weight out of the bag, the scale read 200. Now that's accuracy!  -  Friday, May 18, 2007 Quick, Convenient Reviewed By: Kathy Ruiter  Last year I got both this digital scale and a triple beam balance scale for a co-op chemistry class I taught. This electronic scale is much quicker and more convenient, but I think the balance scale gives the students a better "feel" for weight in metric units. Honestly, though, about half way through the class I was only bringing this scale to class because it was so much quicker and more convenient than the triple beam was. One time-saving feature is that you can zero it with a container on it, and then pour your chemical into the container, so, you don't have to subtract off the weight of the container. If you want an accurate balance that's fast and easy, this is perfect! If you have plenty of time to deal with a triple beam scale, it offers a better "feel" for weight and makes you think more (like having to subtract off the weight of a container.) We loved them both.
