Kit Contents
- Advanced Dissecting Tools
- Styrofoam dissecting tray

- Frog dissection guide
- Grasshopper dissection guide
- Earthworm dissection specimen, 8-10"
- Grass Frog dissection specimen, 3-4"

Note: You can order this kit now even if you won't be doing dissections until later in the school year. Specimens are initially preserved with a formaldehyde solution, the best animal tissue fixative. The formaldehyde is then displaced first with water and finally with a glycol solution to produce a moist, low-fume specimen which can be stored almost indefinitely. We recommend that you use specimens within one year of purchase to ensure the best tissue quality. Specimen discoloration over time is normal and does not indicate decay.
Store your specimens at normal room temperature--refrigeration is not required. Storage in attics or garages at high temperatures will damage the specimens. Once opened, specimens can be resealed for later use in a Zip-lock bag to prevent them from drying out.

She is telling me what to write. Her friends came over to do the worm dissection. We got a bunch of night crawlers and they all had fun and thought this was a great kit. They can't wait to dissect the frog and the grasshopper.
 - Tuesday, January 06, 2009 Better than "school" dissectionsReviewed By: Sonya Brouillette I am a veterinarian, and I purchased several kits for my Co-op. Everything you need is included, except for gloves. Buy some in your pharmacy. I did this kit with 7th-12th graders, and they all had a blast. They learned a ton, really got an appreciation for body systems. We started with the earthworm, proceeded through the grasshopper, and ended with the frog. Took several weeks (at one day a week) to go through it all. The books are wonderful, and the directions are pretty good. They all had good specimens, and with so many, we got to look at boy and girl organs. Very worth while project, especially if you have a few others to do it with you. - Monday, January 05, 2009 Dissection Kit IntroductoryReviewed By: Jeanne Adams Excellent product complete with all you need to dissect! - Wednesday, July 23, 2008 Boys had a blast! Reviewed By: Nashia My 5 and 8 year olds had a great time with their uncle today. The frog was in excellent shape and the organs were very visible. All three specimens were much larger than I expected. I didn't stick around to watch, but all involved gave it 2 thumbs up.

- Saturday, December 01, 2007 Incredible quality at an even more amazing price Reviewed By: danielle toussaint The items with this kit are great. The disseciton kit is better quality than anything I had as a Pre-med student and at a fraction of the cost.
If you are new to this, this kit has everything you could need (minus the gloves) to get started. The guides are very well detailed and to be honest, easier to read and follow than anything I had in college.
If you have been doing this for a while, the dissection kit is an incredible value. The quality of the tools, as I stated earlier, is better than anything I had in college. Plus, it comes with some items that you usually have to purchase alone.
I have family who are teachers that have stated that the prices this company has are better than any discount they get as teachers...and better quality.
