Waiting a long time

We followed the instructions carefully, kept the pellet moist in its container with safe water (not tap), but it's been two or three months now, and we're just barely getting some tiny (1mm)green growth. Our plant unit ended a month ago; I timed this all wrong. If you try this, start it months ahead of time.
