With this fingerprinting kit, your kids will get to imitate classic police and FBI methods to learn how to lift, classify, and store fingerprints. They'll also learn about fingerprinting history and why we use fingerprints as a method of identification. This kit includes instructions and materials for five fingerprinting activities. Comes with dusting powder, dusting feathers, 1"-diameter acrylic magnifying lens, tape squares, 32 classification cards, and a carrying pouch. Ages 8-11.

This is for basic introduction Reviewed By: Crystal McNutt Could have been better. The prints didn't come out as clearly as I think they should have been( even when using almost no dusting powder) and the kids thought it should come with more activities for exploring, but over all, it was a good way to at least introduce them to fingerprinting- and fingerprint-lifting. We chose to use a different magnifying glass.

Fingerprint KitReviewed By: Cathy We bought this kit for a science fair experiment. The tape used to lift the kit stuck to the paper it was on. You could barely see the prints lifter and the magnifying glass was horrible. Buy an ink pad it's cheaper and works far better!

A caution - the tape squares do need to be peeled off very carefully to keep from pulling up the paper they're on.
