This "fire syringe" or diesel piston demonstrator device shows the relationship between gas pressure and temperature. It consists of a plastic tube and plunger. When the plunger is pushed down, the air in the tube is compressed, elevating the temperature enough to ignite a cotton ball! Includes instructions. Ages 13 & up.
