Show off your insect collection with this attractive glass-covered display case. It is 1.5" deep, so you can easily pin beetles, moths, or other insect types with thicker bodies. The bottom of the display case contains a 3/8"-thick dense white foam board that is ideal for pinning insects without damage. Plenty of room for multiple large specimens. Comes with four pins to keep the case lid in place.

Read our Making an Insect Collection article for tips on catching insects and pinning them in display cases.

New to Insect Collecting
Reviewed By: Linda
This case is sturdy for what it is, but for the price and description, I expected we were getting a wooden box which could be mounted on the wall. You can't tell from the photo or descriptions that this is basically a glorified cardboard box with a glass top, with no mounting hardware. The reviews written sounded like it was "really nice" compared to others, so I was personally surprised it was made of cardboard. But that could be since we are new to insect collecting in our home...? Perhaps cardboard is the standard, and a wood frame box for wall mounting is called something else? I was disappointed it both can't be put up on a wall - and being cardboard - wouldn't look too nice on the wall, either.

Insect Display Case

These display cases are an excellent quality. Display cases we got from a different site were of such poor quality that they were useless within a few weeks, but these are great!

GREAT CASE

This is a great beginner or expert case for your entomologist. We bought this for the "extra" insects we had for our 4H collection and as a resting place until we mounted them into our collection box. My son also likes to keep the neat insects that are not perfect in here. Great quality and great price!

Exhibit case

For a first exhibit case, this is very nice. My son is just learning about mounting insects and is enjoying being able display his neat finds. He has a story behind each insect. His favorites are the butterfly that he raised from a caterpillar and the yellow jacket that stung Mom!

Wonderful, definitely useful case!

This is a really easy, portable case to use for both amateur and serious entomologists alike! It keeps out unwanted insects (yes, unwanted, in this case! :)) yet keeps a definite beauty to the insects displayed in it.. I used it for my two classes for eight year olds and up and it was really easy to use! Bravo!
