Kostal professional-grade insect pins are excellent quality. They are made from tempered spring steel with fine sharp points, smooth black enamel finish, and durable nylon heads. These size #2 insect pins are 38 mm long by 0.45 mm diameter and are ideal for general insect and butterfly pinning. Approximately 100 insect pins per pack. To pin an insect, firmly poke the pin through the upper mid-right of the back of the thorax (on insects such as grasshoppers) or abdomen (on beetles). Number 4 pins are recommended for insects with thick bodies.
