Kids Insect & Butterfly Net
Kids will have a great time collecting bugs in their backyard and beyond with this insect and butterfly net! It is similar to our standard insect net, but specially sized for younger children. Your kids will be able catch even the smallest insect or most delicate butterfly with this net. This kids' insect net will provide years of use. It features a roomy 11"-diameter and 19"-deep polyester net bag, durable steel net ring, and 18" solid hardwood handle. The handle is easily removable from the net ring for storage. Ages 4-11.
When trying to capture a butterfly or other insect with a net, move slowly until you are in range. Position the net under the insect, then swing your net upward and turn the handle so that the net flips over and the captured insect cannot escape. Or you can bring the net down over the insect and down to the ground, raising the end of it so that the insect flies up to the closed top and you can stick it in a container.

Worked wellReviewed By: David Duff Worked well - we caught a number of good specimens with it. For chasing butterflies or bees in motion, however, an even larger diameter would be helpful with a bit longer net and pole.

Great for the moneyReviewed By: Shopper Great net for the money- very sturdy; large enough. Net stays on stick by the tension of the wire spreader that holds the net. Gets loose, but you can bend the wire out. We might wind up putting another screw in it, because the rod that holds the net on slips down. Still, great for 10 bucks!

The Perfect Insect NetReviewed By: Pam Carlton My grandson wanted two insect/butterfly nets for his 9th birthday, one for him and one for his 11 year old brother so they could catch butterflies, study them and then release them back to nature. His birthday is today, and he and his brother ran outside when he unwrapped the box and began searching for insects and butterflies. It was such a delight to watch them. They loved the wooden handles and the lightness of the nets. He had asked for nets that were circular and had wooden handles. Your nets fit the bill perfectly! Love this net!

We have previously bought our nets at the toy store or discount stores. They never made it through a season--sometimes they didn't last a week. This net is very well made. The handle is strong, net is deep and of good fabric. My kids have used it to catch everything from butterflies outdoors to escaped parakeets inside. It is both versatile and durable.

Great Insect Net
I really like the wooden handle and the net seems very well made. I plan to use these nets with my 7th grade science class for insect collections. I searched around and this net was the best price for the size and quality.
