(Kids LED Cordless Microscope

This new and improved portable battery-powered model features the same quality glass optics and sturdy metal frame as our regular Kids Microscope, but with a more versatile illumination system. The bright LED light is powered by a rechargeable battery pack, which means that it can be used without a cord, making it a take-anywhere scope that's great for introducing kids to microscopy. Use it outdoors where AC power is not available or indoors when it is inconvenient to have a power cord in the way.
The efficient LED illuminator runs off rechargeable batteries; you can also plug it in using the included AC adapter. A 6-hole disc diaphragm and variable illumination provide just the right lighting and contrast for each specimen and magnification level. The three objective lenses and 10x widefield eyepiece provide total microscope magnification levels of 40, 100, and 400x.

We work directly with select factories in China to have our Home microscopes manufactured to our specifications and quality standards. Over a 10-year period, we evaluated dozens of microscopes looking for the right ones for our customers. After being disappointed again and again with the quality and/or cost, we committed in 2004 to develop our own line of microscopes. Our high standards for mechanical reliability, optical quality, and overall quality control were developed with students and families in mind.
