This Christian Light Science Curriculum consists of 10 workbooks (Light Units) and an answer key set. Introduced in 1988, it is currently undergoing is first updates since publication. It works well for independent student self-study or minimal teacher instruction and adapts well for homeschool use. The teacher’s guide includes answer keys and limited support material. This curriculum covers all the science topics, but with limited detail and moderate hands-on learning. It does not provide a robust science lab experience. We do not recommend it for students who enjoy science or want a rich hands-on learning experience. This curriculum presents a Christian creationist worldview.
Note: Christian Light lists Apologia as an alternate curriculum for grades 8 and up.
