While lint and/or scratches may be a great find the first time or two they can really impair your ability to obtain a clear image. - Wednesday, February 06, 2008Essential Don't spend money for a microscope and then scratch the lenses with paper towels or kleenex. Buy several packs of Lens cleaning paper instead. To keep your lenses in good shape, you should clean them regularly. Fingerprints, dust, and grime will collect suprisingly fast. You will use several of these if your microscope has a lens to be used with immersion oil. - Monday, November 12, 2007A Good Idea to buy When we first bought our supplies for Biology this year, I skipped buying lens cleaning paper. However, after our first few experiments, I realized it was a mistake. These lens papers keep from scratching the cover slips and slides, they do a great job and I'm glad I came back and ordered them. They are inexpensive enough to buy all you will need- so you don't have to use paper towels or towels that leave lint. |
