  • These organs are nicely preserved and the do not reek! We are using these for Science Saturdays at our house for homeschooling. The dissection guides are very detailed and helpful, but if you ask my kids they say they aren't learning they are having fun! :)

  • We used this kit a few years ago with my son and my daughter squealed when we opened the box and she knew it would be for her this year! If you have a scalpel and plastic gloves, this kit has everything else you'll need. The kit goes along perfectly with a book we use called Blood and Guts; it includes every organ recommended for the year. The organs were well preserved and came well packed so nothing was crushed or damaged.

  • This is a great tool for small classes. I am using this to show 1-5th graders and they love it. The items are fresh and easily seen.

      Mammal Organs Dissection Kit

Study organ anatomy as you dissect the preserved cow eye and the sheep heart, brain and kidney specimens in this kit. Includes full-color photographic dissection guides and disposable styrofoam trays. Order dissection tools separately.

Note: Specimens are initially preserved with a formaldehyde solution, the best animal tissue fixative. The formaldehyde is then displaced first with water and finally with a glycol solution to produce a moist, low-fume specimen which will not decay over time. Plan to use specimens within one year of purchase to ensure the best tissue quality. Specimen discoloration and dryness over time is normal and does not indicate decay.

Store your specimens at normal room temperature—refrigeration is not required. Storage in attics or garages at high temperatures will damage the specimens. Once opened, specimens can be resealed in a zip-lock bag to prevent them from drying out for later use.
