Mammal Organs Dissection Kit
Study organ anatomy as you dissect the preserved cow eye and the sheep heart, brain and kidney specimens in this kit. Includes dissection guides and disposable styrofoam trays. Order
dissection tools separately.
Note: Specimens are initially preserved with a formaldehyde solution, the best animal tissue fixative. The formaldehyde is then displaced first with water and finally with a glycol solution to produce a moist, low-fume specimen which can be stored almost indefinitely. We recommend that you use specimens within one year of purchase to ensure the best tissue quality. Specimen discoloration over time is normal and does not indicate decay.
Store your specimens at normal room temperature--refrigeration is
not required. Storage in attics or garages at high temperatures will damage the specimens. Once opened, specimens can be resealed for later use in a Zip-lock bag to prevent them from drying out.

Fabulous!Reviewed By: Susan Martin A great, and inexpensive, hands-on resource! The dissections are not difficult, and the included pamphlets give just the right amount of information. We have been taking our time getting to all of them, and the specimens are still in great shape nearly a year after purchase. My 4th- thru 7th-grade children were all able to learn a lot from this - me too!

Great ProductReviewed By: Kerry Heninger I bought this set and the frog kit for my children's 5th grade co-op science class. It was a hit. The kids loved it and learned so much by being able to touch and feel and see the different organs. It was such a great learning experience! Thank you Home Science Tools for making that possible.

Comprehensive Set I purchased this set for my 6th grade nephew, a gifted student who is very into the life sciences. I was impressed by the quickness of the shipment and the quality of the specimens. This set has just enough "gross" factor to be "cool" and yet provides a large database of mammalian anatomy to build from.
