Mineral studies

I purchased this kit for ninth grade mineral studies for our homeschool. The price is reasonable and the kit is just as pictured. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and weight of the samples. This kit is a much better quality than similar kits I have found for sale in museum gift shops.

we just received this mineral kit and my girls love it! we like the numbers on the specimens so we can check the chart to see what they are called. we like the testing materials that come with it like the tile and nail. it worked out well for our lab experiment for 9th grade homeschool science.

Mineral Study Kit

I purchased the Minerals Study Kit to use with my science class. The mineral samples are nice large sizes and the variety is excellent. The information in the kit was very useful, and the hardness test tools were a great aid in our detective identification project. I have found that children learn much better, and retain what they learn when they can hold and feel the samples in their hands. I highly recommend this kit to anyone who wants to learn about minerals. Thank you, Home Science Tools, for carrying such great products!

I recently purchased this product to share with a homeschool science co-op I am teaching. The mineral samples were excellent as was the identification chart and information included. The parents were very impressed as well, and many voiced that they wanted to purchase this set to have at home for their children. I shared with them that I had purchased specimens for dissecting from your website last year for a biology course I was teaching at home to my 5th grade twins (who are now 6th graders...and they loved the mineral set!). Thank you for offering such quality items at such an unbelieavable cost!

mineral study kit
 
i recently bough this as a gift for my eight year old nephew. He was really excited about since he enjoys collecting rocks. He especially liked the tools that came with it and began playing with it immediately before opening his others gifts
