The experiments and demonstrations included in the book are interesting to older kids as well, but because the format is similar to the format of "baby" books, some kids may balk. Having said that, though, I really enjoyed the range of experiments in the book. It's a much less complete book than Exploratopia is, but it covers a range of areas and the instructions are very simple and easy to follow. - Saturday, December 08, 2007Great variety of experiments, fun for all! Reviewed By: Denise Parr I bought this as a gift, but my son and I evaluated it before hand. The book is very durable and has a spiral bound end so the book won't keep flipping shut if you are looking at an experiment in the back. In the front they list all the items needed to complete the experiments so you can collect all the items ahead of time for fun anytime. They also had a wide variety of experiments with large colorful pictures and clear large typed directions. This would be a great tool to have some fun with your children on a yucky day. |
