My First Magnet Kit
Young students will have fun experimenting with different magnets and experiencing the pull and push of magnetic force. A variety of magnets come with the kit, including a magnetic wand, three magnetic balls, a horseshoe magnet, a bar magnet and two ring magnets. The fun experiments include making a compass, making a simple electromagnet, making ring magnets float, measuring a magnetic field, and more!
This kit includes eight double-sided experiment cards that explain various principles of magnetism and talk about the history of magnets. Ages 4 and up (adult help required for younger kids).

bought for K-2 class projectReviewed By: Holly This is a great project for an elementary class unit. I bought this along with the magnetic marbles and the kids loved the unit.

My first Magnet KitReviewed By: Karmon My son-in-law and daughter want to expose their 5 year old daughter to math and science so I chose to try some kits. She loved working with the magnet kit. My daughter said many of the experiments where those she did in 6th grade science class. It was a great beginner kit and the price and shipping made it a better buy. I have already recommended Home Science Tools to several other parents and my son-in-law and daughter plan to buy more kits.

A really basic junior kitReviewed By: Dave This really is a BASIC first kit. The magnets are small, but the experiments are good. The tiny compass took several days to get oriented to North after spending most of its life nestled among other magnets.
