This National Optical model 417 stereo microscope provides sharp, bright three-dimensional images at both 20x and 40x magnification, perfect for viewing whole objects like minerals or insects. Magnification is changed by rotating the objective turret 90°. You’ll get years of use out of the quality optics and mechanically rugged full-size frame

The stereoscopic head has paired widefield 10x inclined eyepieces that can rotate 360° for viewing ease and include left diopter and interpupillary adjustment to allow the right fit and focus for your eyes. Other features include smooth, solid rack and pinion focusing, slip clutch, tension adjustment, large stable base, and extra rugged construction. The fixed-arm design prevents accidental damage to the optical components. The illumination system has top and bottom cool, long-life 5-watt fluorescent lights. Light switches mounted on the base allow you to choose between using either top or bottom lighting or both at the same time.
