These notebooks are very sturdy and handy. My 5-year-old takes this notebook on all types of outings and still it has not lost any of it's pages. It's great size for young kids, the paper is a good weight, and the covers are nice and sturdy. My son (age 7) uses it for taking notes and drawing pictures when we do science experiments together. I'd highly recommend these--either for art sketchbooks or science journals.
