We just received our "kit" for Apologia Physical Science. My daughter had a blast unpacking her kit and checking off all the items. The stopwatch is awesome & amazingly, she needs one next week as she is finishing up her Apologia General Science! Too cool! This kit will be a great help to me as we progress thru the Modules this fall!

Our box arrived quickly and we did our first experiment with success! I didn't have to run all over, as in years past, trying to find just the right copper insulated wire to have it not work for the experiment. I am sure it will be a money saver and for sure a stress and time saver!! The only thing I didn't do is look at the materials list and see what the kit didn't include. I probably would have bought a few other things as well.

I was so happy to know that most of what my child would need to do the science experiments in her curriculum was here in this one kit. Sure saved time and gas for me instead of trying to run around town and get this stuff.

Apologia Physical Science Kit

This is very handy to have; in the past we have put off doing an experiment because we didn't have the supplies readily available. I think for the price of the kit it should have included as much of the supplies as possible. For example, the first experiment calls for safety goggles and baking soda that were not included although the 9v battery and wire were included. This kit would be fantastic if it included even the common household items.

This is the first year we have used Apologia Science and I didn't know for sure how I was going to get and keep everything needed on hand for the experiments, but this kit got rid of that concern. She's excited and can stay on track w/each lesson/experiment (instead of waiting for me to find this or that). AND, it is a major time saver for me! I don't have to check ahead to see what she'll need and then go out searching for each item. I'll save on gas money, thank you!  -  Thursday, August 07, 2008 Is It Worth the Money?   I am sure when it is time to use the supplies in this kit, I will appreciate all that is available at our fingertips. However, I think that it would have been helpful to include some other not so common items such as the string/cord, cups w/lids, and washers. We were able to purchase a couple of kits and divide the kids into small lab groups to do their experiments. We saved money and time by having everything at our finger tips. There was no need for anxious parents to search for supplies every time we needed to perform an experiment in class. I was able to have all the materials necessary to do the experiments in Physical Science with very very few exceptions. The only things not included are things like vinegar and eggs, which would be hard to mail obviously. It was much more convenient to have all the materials gathered together.
