Fun Activity for Kids and Adults

This was a gift for my 7-year-old daughter. We used it with leaves and flowers picked from our neighborhood. My 7-year-old was able to operate the press with ease and the results were great. We both enjoyed the whole process of collecting, pressing, and later using the pressed plants in craft projects. This press is now part of my daughter's explorer backpack. We just purchased additional refill pages because we are planning many more projects.

I like this product. It works great. I was a little concerned about the small size at first. I wondered if it would really be big enough for items we collected, but it is working just fine. The only thing that was on the down side about it for me, is that the materials it is made from are such that I feel like my husband and I could have made it ourselves at home (and just bought some blotter paper) and then we would have saved some money. But oh well. We really do like it, so it was worth it.

Plant & Flower Hiker Press

This plant press is perfect for the avid hiker. We can slip it into a small pocket of a backpack without adding extra weight. While it's great for the more mature hiker, it is also wonderful for young ones that can't carry a heavy load. It is just the right size for large leaves and every size flower we've found. The belt fastens tightly and easily to keep specimens from falling out. We have used it again and again.
