This is Apologia's advanced biology course The Human Body: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. It covers both the anatomy and the physiology of the human body's 11 organ systems in detail. The reproductive system is covered in detail, including frank (not pornographic) illustrations and descriptions. Combined with Exploring Creation With Biology, it gives the student the equivalent of an entire biology advanced placement (AP) curriculum. In order to take this course, the student must have completed a first-year biology course and a first-year chemistry course. The course includes microscope labs and mammal organ dissection labs. Grades 10-12. Text is hardcover, solutions manual is softcover.

Apologia Human Body

We have used Apologia in the past and have never been disappointed. This book is just excellent! My son loves to work on his own and says the format is very conducive to that type of learning. The writing is clear and the illustrations are wonderful. I was encouraged to also see the references to various web sites in this book. The scope of the course is excellent for a high school student interested in the medical field. My son was so excited to get the book that he asked when he could start. I don't often get that response!
