I recently purchased several single pulleys, a double pulley, string, and spring scales for my science students to use while learning about the mechanical advantage of fixed and movable pulleys. These are great tools to have. I have found that actually building pulley systems helps children understand and remember what they are learning. I highly recommend these items … and they're not very expensive.
