very cool but chip and break easily

Not to be used for younger kids because they chip and break easily. But very cool for the older kids.

Cool magnets

I like these magnets, too. The pencil idea is wonderful and my child say's they are cool! I got them originally because I needed ring magnets because I wanted to tie them to a string and have them hang down for magnetic pendulum experiments. However, I think the pencil trick is far cooler and kids can certainly see that and understand it well.

These magnets are great for teaching kids about magnetic forces. Line them up on a pencil with opposite poles near each other and the magnets appear to float on the pencil.
