Robo-Box 3.0 Robot Kit with Logo Programming
Now save $20 for a limited time! The Robo-Box 3.0 is not a toy, but rather a fun and exciting educational robot kit for beginners that will provide many hours of hands-on learning. Two factors make it unique from other robotics kits. First, you can build two different robots and then experiment with different sensors and behaviors with each. Second, each robot you build can be programmed right from your PC using either Logo graphical or text-based programming language. As a result, this kit fosters natural curiosity, provides a real sense of accomplishment with each new use, and develops deductive reasoning skills.
This kit is a great starting point for kids or adults interested in robotics. The Robo-Box brain is a compact-sized programmable microcontroller board. You program it from your PC (requires either a serial or USB port) using either graphical Logo Blocks or text-based Cricket Logo software. The dual programming mode is ideal for people without any prior programming experience. Ages 12 & up.
You'll learn about mechanics, electronics, physics, microprocessors, and programming as you build and operate two different robots and then experiment with different sensors:
- The O2 Robot is a wheeled robot with which you can learn to control simple movement, speed, and turning. Then you can add touch sensors to detect and maneuver around objects, light sensors to find and move toward light, and infrared sensors to become a line-tracking robot.
- The NanoTank is a track robot with which you can learn to maneuver a tracked vehicle and then add infrared sensors to operate on a table top or follow a white line. You can also add distance sensors to find and maneuver around objects.
