We used these scalpels for a group with an age range of 5 - adult. They worked great for everyone. They were very sharp and easy to use.

These scalpels worked perfectly for our earthworm dissection lab. Even first graders to use and manipulate the tool with supervision! I didn't know that they were disposable upon ordering though, so make sure you want disposable scalpels if you purchase this product.
