Separatory Funnel, Squibb style, 500 ml
This 500 ml separatory funnel is generally used to separate two immiscible liquids of different densities. The heaver liquid settles at the bottom of the funnel and can be easily drawn off. Separatory funnels can also be used to slowly add a reagent in a distillation or add to a reaction process.
This Squibb-style pear-shaped funnel is made of high-quality borosilicate glass. It has a PTFE stopcock, which never needs greasing, and ground glass stopper.
The glass stopper provided with this separatory funnel can operate in either a vented or non-vented mode depending on whether the groove in the stopper is aligned with the hole in the ground joint at the funnel neck.
