Science Fair Project Ideas:

  • Use the motor and one of the photovoltaic cells in this kit to make a solar-powered car!
  • Try using a box fan to spin the motor, turning it into a generator. Can you combine a solar cell with the generator to produce more power?

I bought this for my 6th grade son to facilitate a Science Fair Project and he hasn't been able to put it down. He's even used it to power small, battery-powered divices without the batteries! He's learned not only about solar power but about electrical current as well.

My 6 and 8 year olds have had fun learning with this. Our only complaint is that we have not been able to generate enough power to make a little car go.
