This deluxe handheld spectroscope allows you to see a very clear, bright spectra. It can also be used to measure the wavelengths of visible light spectra from 4000 to 7000 Angstroms with a precision of +/-50 Angstroms. Instructions are included. Ages 12 & up.

Note: If you wear glasses or are farsighted, the scale on the inside of the spectroscope (used to read the wavelengths of light) might appear blurry.Look through the spectroscope again without your glasses, and see if you can read the scale more clearly.

Good Optics Tool

I have used this spectroscope when teaching optics mini-classes to ages all the way from kindergarten to high scshool. It has been easy for all of the students to use and understand and has been a great tool to demonstrate the differences in spectra from different light sources.
