The Science of Life by Frank G. Bottone, Jr.
The experiments in this book are a great resource for young biologists. The activities are arranged into 5 separate categories, each representing one of the 5 Kingdoms of life. This makes for a nice variety of activities. This book is great at teaching the scientific method and, if the suggested documentation is followed, results in a great lab notebook at the completion of the experiments. We especially enjoyed the sections on bacteria and fungi.
