Great beginner bookReviewed By: Chris Palser Great book, quite a few neat products. A really good book for helping teach science and microscopy to younger students. My wife is very non-technical and she liked the presentation manner of the book a lot--it's written very clearly made teaching very easy for her.
Good value for the info in it, that's for sure.

Great projects and information This book has a bit of everything. It contains history of the microscope, types of scopes, basics on how to use the scope. Project ideas are included throughout the book and require items found easily around the house. There are 2-page spreads with background information, collection, and viewing ideas for themes such as Sea life, Fresh water, Plants, Insects, Crystals, Rocks, and Fungi. Staining and making sections are also included. A great book for the price!

A Good ResourceReviewed By: Debora Williams This was a good beginners book. We wished that it had more details in it about adjustments and using more advanced microsopes. But it is well worth the money. And, it is a book to keep on hand for future reference.
