Triops Hatchery Kit
Hatch these fascinating triops, or "dinosaur shrimp," and watch them swim, eat, and grow to 1-3" long in just 30 days! These crustaceans are advertised as "Triassic Triops" and have eggs that can stay dormant for 25 years, until conditions are right for hatching. Put them in water, and they will hatch within 24 hours and begin to grow rapidly. Triops are entertaining to watch as they swim, use tiny legs on their bellies to carry food to their mouths, and breathe through gills in their feet.
This complete kit includes a tank with a lid, thermometer, egg packet, food, and illustrated booklet full of triops information and care instructions. Ages 6 & up.

- Is there a way to speed up how fast the Triops grow? Try
putting in more or less water, or moving them in or out of
sunlight.
- See how quickly your Triops change by examining them with a
magnifying glass or taking a digital photo every few hours.

Just a note about the life span..
(might put more sand on the bottom of the tank in the beginning)
You can harvest the eggs by giving them a plant or fiberglass and when the adults croak you can empty most of the water out and let it dry for about 60 days and then just add water (distilled).. If your triops dropped any eggs then in 24 hrs you'll be in business again :)

A Pet to shareReviewed By: Christian Corse This is a pet that was the craze of my family when I got them. They seem to grow as if someone put a new one in the tank during the night. Fortunately, I got to see one of the little animals molt, and it was an exciting experience. These great crustaceans are a screen saver without a computer to go with them, as my sister said. I think that everyone would LOVE this product!

These little critters take little maintenance, hatch within 24 hours, and grow twice their size daily. And as a mom, I'm thrilled with their appeal as a "pet" but am relieved that they have a relatively short lifespan.
