No life here.

I ordered this TriOps kit for my granddaughter and I to do. The kit seemed very nice and the instructions were very good. We did follow the directions but never got any Triops to come to life. We tried the experiment twice with two different water sources. No luck. We were very disappointed especially since my granddaughter made a chart to track the Triops hatching, growth, and life span.

We love this! This kit came recommended to us through our homeschool science curriculum. My boys (9 and 8) couldn't wait for it to get here. We followed the directions as written and the triops hatched within days. We recieved a lot of eggs but only have 2 that are growing to full size. One is really getting big. We have even found its molted ecoskeleton at the bottom of the hatchery. Thanks for the great science project.

These are great as a short time pet! Iwould sit there for 10-20 minutes just watching them.I got them for my birthday and they lived 2 and 3 weeks(2 for 2 weeks and 1 for 3).

I bought a triops kit for my daughter a couple of years ago at an educational supplies store. The experience was great. These little creatures are amazing. I was a little put out, though when I realized I would have to get another one for a science project she was doing because we have moved miles away from anywhere that I could get another one. I was very pleased when I found this website and the order came through in such good time. This kit is more complete than the other one we got and we are looking forward to enjoying the fun again. We also enjoyed looking through the catalog and seeing all the other fun stuff there is to do!

I ordered these for Christmas as well and already have em hatched.. Just a note about the life span.. (might put more sand on the bottom of the tank in the beginning) You can harvest the eggs by giving them a plant or fiberglass and when the adults croak you can empty most of the water out and let it dry for about 60 days and then just add water (distilled).. If your triops dropped any eggs then in 24 hrs you'll be in business again :) Plenty of articles online to show you more specifics..
